To make this wholesome Rasam, mix betel leaves together with cumin, pepper, dried purple chillies, curry leaves, inexperienced chillies, and garlic cloves to make a rough paste powder. Now, add tomatoes to it and mix to make effective puree. Next, in a wok or kadhai, make a tempering of ghee, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Allow it to splutter after which add tamarind water, and salt. Lastly, add betel leaves and spices puree. Bring it to a boil and serve sizzling. (Image: istock)
